Work Setup

• Design and deploy short surveys (online/offline) to profile target businesses and their accounting needs. • Conduct field visits, phone interviews and in-person questionnaires with business owners and finance officers. • Use digital data collection tools (KoboToolbox, ODK, Google Forms, SurveyCTO) to capture clean, accurate data. • Screen and qualify leads based on business size, current bookkeeping methods and software readiness. • Submit daily/weekly survey reports and a clean lead database to Puremind. • Verify data quality, remove duplicates and flag inconsistencies before submission. • Gather competitor intelligence (pricing, features, customer complaints) and report market trends. • Support follow-up scheduling between qualified prospects and the sales/accountant partners.

Responsibilities

• Smartphone, tablet or laptop with internet access and battery life for full-day fieldwork. • Proficiency in at least one digital data collection platform (KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO, Google Forms). • Strong interviewing and note-taking skills; ability to engage busy business owners respectfully. • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality. • Basic data cleaning and Excel/Google Sheets reporting skills. • Good written and verbal English and Swahili; local language skills an advantage. • Self-motivated, punctual and able to work independently across assigned regions. • Existing knowledge of local SME, Sacco, school or church networks is desirable.

Requirements & Skills

• Diploma or degree in social sciences, statistics, business, economics, marketing or related field. • Prior experience in field surveys, enumerator work, market research or data collection preferred. • Demonstrated ability to use digital data collection tools on a mobile device. • Access to a smartphone/tablet/laptop and reliable internet. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work on commission-, piece-rate- or project-based terms. • No prior software sales experience required; product orientation provided. • Professional integrity and a results-driven approach to data quality and lead generation.
